Ebony Williams is an Energy Advocate Coordinator at IMPACT Community Action where she supervises a staff of six to provide energy-saving knowledge to targeted communities. They provide community members with free LED light bulbs, high-efficiency showerheads, power strips, and toilet strips to help identify potential leaks.
Ebony and her team even provide resources to their local community with things such as rent, mortgage, utility bills, job training, certifications, weatherization, food, furniture, and much more.
Ebony works directly with IMPACT Community Action’s Weatherization Department to schedule in-home visits with residents to explain how they can participate in the Energy Advocate program. This program promotes consumer education and shares free energy saving supplies.
Ebony enjoys working in clean energy because she gets to educate community members, increasing energy efficiency, and decreasing energy usage across Columbus.
