Zahra builds battery energy storage systems for commercial/industrial and residential customers.
Vessyll installs batteries that can be paired with rooftop solar. While the solar panels power the building, energy trickles into the battery. That power can be used later when the sun is not shining, or if the power goes out.
The economics are a major selling point for the battery systems Zahra installs. Building owners and operators are starting to understand that batteries are a great way to save money. Clients can see their return on investment in less than 5 years. The cost of batteries is going down, and tax incentives passed by Congress as part of the Inflation Reduction Act make them even more affordable.
Zahra grew up around construction and has early memories laying flooring with her uncles and cousins. Her dad worked as a roofer while going to law school. The construction industry seemed like a natural fit when Zahra set out to start her career. Over time, she gravitated towards building homes sustainably and with the best materials to build a healthy home.
Zahra did most of her learning on the job, and still learns everyday. She works with engineers and electricians, and enjoys how they all collaborate to bring a project to completion.
Zahra loves working in the clean energy industry. She’ll continue innovating during this energy transition from fossil fuels to renewably sourced clean energy; it’s fascinating to her, it keeps growing, and she’s part of a lasting impact.
